@kentindell they are electric, I think the power output is just capped my a current limiter on the battery. If you tweak that, you can deplete it at a much faster rate. Also risks explosion I'm sure, but hey...
WTH is going on with #linux#debian? On a sid machine, 32 cores, 256GB of ram, apt-get upgrade takes forever it feels likes I'm using btrfs from a few years ago; But no, I'm on ext4, on a gen4 nvme, it should be flying!
@thelinuxcast it's not the download, I'm on fiber, download is 'instant'. Also not the filesystem (AFAIK) I fstrim(ed) it beforehand. I think they are added 'something complicated' to the apt-get install that makes it a dog...

A few years ago, if you had told me I'd be up well before 4am to get to my desk (on a sunday!) I'd have thrown you in the loony bin. But here we are; turns out I can get quite a few hours of solid stuff done well before 9am. It's nice, it's quiet, coffee smells better. And it frees a lot of time for the rest of the day too.#earlyriser#programming
