I’ve been doing something similar with an Android tablet; it’s actually pretty great for video calls as you can use a USB capture card then share your screen, but you can also just fullscreen the capture card input directly. Boom, with a $20 cable you now have a wired HD display on your tablet.
Tobias can’t help but keep giving talks long after the sessions have ended!
I enjoyed hanging out and chatting about everything from branding, QR codes, and window management to GNOME advisory, politics, and bourbon with everyone tonight. 😁
Does anyone in or around the Denver area have a colorimeter that works with Linux? My wife is looking at doing design work and I would love to calibrate her display from the start—but I have a hard time justifying buying one for what will likely be a one-time baseline calibration.
People suck. I am simultaneously disappointed in people—including those in the local government—in my home state that participate in and encourage this rhetoric.
I’m not sure what happened over the past year or two, but I feel like I’ve had a shift in hobbies that line up with what I would always see or hear people talk about online, but thought I didn’t have any time for or interest in. For example, I have gotten into:
• CAD and 3D printing
• Smart home automation (beyond “Works with Google”)
• Mechanical keyboards (to a very, very shallow extent)
• British comedy/panel shows
Maybe this is what happens when your job isn’t also your primary hobby?
