#BitRitter now has support to open links from the detail page (or copy them). Also, Custom fields are shown on the detail page.
To smooth the overall experience, i got a basic search filter working, so you don't have to scroll to your desired #VaultWarden entry.
Does anyone want to help me design a logo and/or icon for #BitRitter?
If i draw it myself, i'd rather have no icon haha.
It is a password manager frontend for #MobileLinux (and desktops aswell).
Boosts welcome. :boostRequest: #FediArt
If there is a hashtag for such things, let me know aswell.
News from #BitRitter: https://codeberg.org/Chfkch/bitritter
Account creation is now possible via the app, no need to store credentials on disk.
This was a huge step towards the release of the first beta.
Basic usage is covered in my eyes, now i have to polish things up a bit and test integration in distros and on devices.
Got a lot of help from the community and the #Relm4 channel.
If you want to try now, hit me up if you have problems. #LinuxMobile#MobileLinux#RustLang
Making progress with #BitRitter. Slow, but steady.
Today i implemented a password input to unlock the #BitWarden / #VaultWarden vault, so we can soon remove a part of the credentials.toml (which was just a workaround for faster testing) and make the app safer. #Relm4 feels nicer the more i get to work with it.
Sadly my ARM CI did not work as nicely as the x86, so i can't package for my phone easily.
My first (very incomplete and WIP) iteration of my #MobileLinux#BitWarden client. It ia usually not ready for others to use, but i need to publish it to stay motivated.
Works with #VaultWarden aswell. You have to build it fron source though, for the time being.
I once saw a post about a #selfhosted fitness/activity website similar to #Strava, but i cannot find it anywhere here nor on the web. Does anyone know? I think it supported uploading your track files for cycling, running and more. #AskFedi#FediRunning#FediBikes#FOSS @fedibikes_de
I wonder why #Synology is such a shit show if you want to have some deeper customization. I want to add a #NFS share for my server, which runs #NextCloud, but i cannot really get the permissions right. On the server, i can just set the correct uids in my #NixOS config, on synology, that is almost impossible.
Since i am not celebrating this day for some reasons, i have time to code while my family is asleep. The last hour, i implemented the wrapper functions, for setting up/logging in/unlocking accounts and saving state to the db for the #BitWarden#LinuxMobile client.
We are getting somewhere.
Some GUI stuff and decryption is still on the list before you can check out the code.
My biggest enemy today in #Rust is the fact, that i cannot implement/extend traits from another crate. So i wanted to use structs from the #rbw crate since i am piggy-backing on their logic, but since i need Debug on those, because i am writing a #Relm4 app, i am screwed. Or am i missing something?
I mean i could just use my own types based on the rbw ones, since they are not likely to change (the crate looks feature-complete), but meh, is there a better way?
:boostRequest: :boost_ok: #RustLang
But I'd only use it if it was something meant for submission upstream or a temporary thing (getting more logging during development but not suitable for later stages of the project). Otherwise the wrapped type with custom debug trait implementation (like suggested by someone in a different reply to your post) sounds like the better approach.
This year, i didn't wish for any birthday presents. Instead i asked the people to donate to projects that i care about. Since there are so many, i started with two this year: #PostmarketOS & #CodeBerg.
Maybe - if you are priviliged like me and not in need of material presents - you can consider this as well.
Since i am slowly migrating away from my #Synology#Docker setup towards #NixOS bare metal setup and i do not want to let the syno go to waste, i decided to use it as a backup server with automounts for backup folders. Let's see how that goes.
I liked the syno at first, but since i cannot really configure it besides that what the DSM webgui provides, it is hard to get a nice setup going. Also the outdated kernel and some other stuff like not being able to install what i want sucks.
Liebe Mitlesende,
