The two best smartphones I own. Not the fastest, most powerful, or most expensive. They are the best and most precious to me because those devices can run PostmarketOS. #gnomemobile#postmarketos#mobilelinux
No manual editing this time, but an automatic postprocessing script using darktable-cli and rudimentary lens corrections. Takes ~30 sec to develop on the phone - about ten times longer than the default script used by Millipixels, but with much better results. #shotonlibrem5#librem5#mobilelinux#linuxmobile#photography
#BitRitter now has support to open links from the detail page (or copy them). Also, Custom fields are shown on the detail page.
To smooth the overall experience, i got a basic search filter working, so you don't have to scroll to your desired #VaultWarden entry.
So my Pixel 3a's #LineageOS install decided to brick itself today... any cool ROMs to try out that support AMOLED mode?
I was also considering mobile Linux, though I do really depend on Discord notifications due to my university; unsure how well that would work...
My 72 year old mother is in a hospital right now. I had to make and take all sorts of phone calls lately, just to manage things like insurance and care facilities.
It got me thinking about Linux phones. In this current time I couldn't use something like @postmarketOS because even missing a single call can cause huge difficulties and delays right now.
I really hope calls can be made more reliable in the future. 🙏
If that is not happening, then why, what is stopping you?
The (wrong and silly) assumption that everyone must use Google/Apple phones is expected from Big Tech these days but you are supposed to be among the good guys. Please help us be free from Google/Apple 🙂
Is there anyone from the #LinuxMobile#mobileLinux community living in Berlin with a working #Librem5 battery who would be willing to help me booting and updating my device once? Unfortunately my battery is dead and I haven't found out how to quickly get a new one - however IIUC it would boot without battery once updated to a newer firmware (https://forums.puri.sm/t/librem-5-does-not-boot-without-battery/16954/11).
Randomly stumbled upon Sean Moss-Pultz's short post about Openmoko, featuring some photos of a working prototype of GTA03/3D7K, the cancelled successor to the Neo Freerunner that was being worked on around 2009. So far I have only heard verbal descriptions of how it looked like (usually described as "a soap dish" 😂) and seen photos of some casing mock-ups and bare PCBs, but never a complete device.
In-line with my previous blog post about #Flatpak in #Lomiri I have been working on getting the core Lomiri click apps packaged for Flatpak.
Thankfully, there have been upstream efforts to do this already! Sadly it seems that the packages are out of date and barely functional, but it is something to work with!
So far I have the Lomiri calculator, clock, and filemanager running.
"April 15th, 2024, in the Top 10 Most Secure Mobile Phones to Buy in 2024, the cybersecurity-focused firm Efani, has ranked Purism Librem 5 as as the #1 most secure phone for the year 2024."
And yes, I have a #Librem5#Linux phone. I'm using it as my daily phone for nearly two years. It is great to be totally in control of your phone, and to have total #freedom to use your phone the way you like.
Does anyone want to help me design a logo and/or icon for #BitRitter?
If i draw it myself, i'd rather have no icon haha.
It is a password manager frontend for #MobileLinux (and desktops aswell).
Boosts welcome. :boostRequest: #FediArt
If there is a hashtag for such things, let me know aswell.
