Would it be possible to disassemble the iPad Mini 2 and solder an HDMI input module onto its screen, then discard the computer part? The screen is awesome, but the operating system is useless.

I wish to share something amazing about #linuxgaming.

On Windows Nvidia dominates gaming. Gamers keep bragging about how they use DLSS, ray-tracing, ray-reconstruction, frame generation...

Then we have YT channels such as DigitalFoundry who are perhaps honest geeks, but the effect they have on gamers is amazingly toxic and not at all in the spirit of gaming as I grew up with.

On Linux, gaming is so simple. We are happy when games work and we love every single one of them.

:steam: Valve made a lot of changes to family sharing. We can now play shared game while the library is being used by the owner, but it is now much harder to change families (logical).

I have an iPad Mini 2 in perfect condition and I don’t know what to do with it. iOS 12 is too old and not many apps work on it. I can’t install Android on it. Is there anything useful I can do with this device? External monitor? Large touchpad?
