Oh hey, Braille Sense 6 is running Android >8, so it'll work with the um... LDAC? A2DP? Whatever Sony's Bluetooth audio codec is. Mmm, much less latency than AAC too.

Good news for MacOS 14 users. 14.2 Beta 4 fixes the issue where if you have typing echo set to nothing, arrowing through characters doesn’t speak anything. So yay, now we can, ahahaha, read text again! 😵‍💫

Whoops, I think my 8 had enough stuff running in the background while on the charger and was receiving a ton of notifications too that the available memory dropped below the minimum threshold. I knew something happened because while the phone was locked I heard "Screen curtain on." I looked in the Analytics data and it wasn't a VO crash directly (a VO crash can produce similar behavior). But also when I looked in the App Switcher, only Calendar showed as active, and the largest process (the one probably responsible for this happening this time) was Discord.

A while back, somebody posted a quicker way to post descriptions/labels to photos so that when you swipe to the photo, you immediately will know what it is. I have bookmarked a longer version that involves going to the markup thingy, but that's just a stupid amount of steps to remember... what was the shortcut to marking photos on ? Thanks!

You may have seen that the BrailleSense firmware has today been updated. We've held off updating the SenseAbility training course until this came along, so you will see an announcement about this in the early new year. Some people have purchased the older training course this week, and the vast majority of that is still relevant. It's just the update has new things which is great to see. Those people who have purchased the training course this week will receive the new update anyway.
