Nearly panicked when the UPS package wasn’t at my front door after an email.

Then I looked at the photos and noticed it wasn’t my door.

Went up and down the block looking for a door that matched, no luck.

Turns out the package was at my back door. But it wasn’t a photo of my door!

And it wasn’t a photo of my package either: not a little cardboard box as in pic but a large floppy bag.

It used to be that I could always get #DandelionGreens at the #Seattle #Ballard #FarmersMarket come spring, and from multiple vendors. But sometime (when my kids were too young to appreciate them, so maybe 5-10 years ago?) they disappeared and haven’t come back.

Just no market for it? Or the land now taken up with more valuable crops?

At her request, I’ve been making my daughter playlists of albums I think she should know.

Most of the time, I try to include a classic album, something from a woman who plays guitar, and something grunge, because we live in Seattle. I often try to make sure that the woman playing guitar is recent, or will switch grunge out for something current.

The bird feeders have had their monthly cleaning, the checkbook is balanced and the bills paid, the dishes have been done (twice). I've even done my daily puzzles. And now, at long last, I'll put some words down. When I'm done with that I might even get to read!

On a totally unrelated note, I’m looking at some low-key LED plant lights for my office. (Can’t have more plants if I don’t have more light. And I want to keep the current ones alive!)

I was thinking about either clip-ons or that style with a plate that sits below the pot to hold the arm, preferably with a timer because I’m not that good a plant daddy.

Anyone have recommendations? Search results are a hot mess for this one.

Spouse asked why I liked the Iliad (and why I’m excited to read the Wilson translation) and I said it was because it was about the apparent utility of toxic masculinity and how civilization exists to rein it in.

I’m not sure if it’s a true statement or my misreading/misremembering of the poem. But I look forward to finding out if that lens still makes sense this time!

Remembering when I was a teenager, and my grandmother was helping my great-grandma (my grandpa's mom) go through her stuff.

Grandma talked later how frustrating it was that Oma was always stopping to tell stories about every little thing, while Grandma's concern was making the valuable stuff was going to appropriate homes.

Only now does it occur to me that I'd rather those stories have been saved than the things. Dunno what or where any of them are anyway.

Bloomberg says, regarding folding phones, "People who are on their second foldable are happier with their device than total newcomers, according to Samsung, suggesting that familiarity helps develop loyalty among users."

Alternate theory: Of course people who are on their second foldable liked it better than those on their first, because people who didn't like one didn't buy another.

Without retention details, this is nonsense.
