I'm calling my state's health care marketplace offices for bureaucratic reasons. And they clearly didn't write out the pronunciation of "Para español, presione 2" phonetically.

The last Spanish class I took was in 1997 and it still made me cringe.

This is absolutely a government operation. 🤣 It isn't like an eighth of Colorado's population speaks Spanish as a primary language, or anything.

Also they have one hold song and it's a 1-minute loop. I counted.

Ugh, the NHL is at it again.

The ban of one-off custom gear for awareness/advocacy games apparently extends to Marc-André Fleury's mask for Native American Heritage Night. Which he had hand-painted by a Prairie Island artist in honor of his wife. MAF said straight-up he'd pay the fine himself. So the league went after the Wild. And now he's sitting out tonight.

Fleury is the only one here who isn't being a coward.

@hannu_ikonen I really, really hope that Fleury gives the league the middle finger and declares that this is the mask he's wearing full-time now. Because then it's not for a theme night and nobody can do anything about it.

The good: Avs are outshooting Anaheim 17-2 at the end of the first.

The weird: This technically means that half of the Ducks' shots have gone in.

Tonight is the Avs' game. And a year and three days after his death, they named the broadcasting booth after Peter McNab, who'd been a mainstay of broadcasts since the team moved to Colorado.

That's the bright spot of this game and I'm clinging to it.

I am really liking that pretty much everything pre-recorded on the big screen at Ball Arena has captions now. Until this season they begrudgingly fulfilled their obligation through a pair of small screens in the corners and an extremely buggy website that depended on the arena wifi to be working.

I missed this from Orion being all floppy and adorable the other day. He's just as sweet from this angle. Also he's taken to getting in my face and demanding dinner at 4 pm again, so he's doing pretty well.
