Thanks Amazon for warning me to watch my reviews. However, it would be nice to know which review got me the warning in the first place. Kinda like "You screwed up, but we're not going to tell you how so you can feel bad for yourself." I suspect one review that I did, but since they won't say which one, I'm kinda on a limb what I said set the author off.

#What role do other writers have in your writing life?

Not much really as I usually stick to myself and write that way. I do have writer people I talk to but not always to solicit advice on social media.

I've been contemplating taking a month off from writing. I apparently need to mull Operation Dark Angel over some more as nothing is coming to make it work yet. So I figure in June when I upload Dark Sun to be released, I'll have something to work with, and I still have a couple of books that I need to pour over anyway, so I'll look those up when I can and get them read, so I can work the story better.

#WordWeavers Day 14 - What role does ethnicity play in your world?

So far I deal with ethnic groups as they come, more or less as a future colonization depending on the story. Since I write mainly in the future I keep ethnic groups homogenous more or less, with factions vying for power and the like, given historical relations with everybody.

25094 words for Dark Sun. More or less just getting things settled for more character interaction, and the antagonist for the book working out a plan. The Grenada book is working out pretty good, learning some stuff (though it focuses on the bad more or less than any good, which is still mentioned), so Operation Dark Angel will have screw-ups in place as well. Not completely but when readers get to it, they'll see a shift in writing for that book.

#WordWeavers Day 18 - Does your antagonist eat healthy?

Yes he does. He's pretty much a generally healthy eater, given that he runs the corporation that created a virus that caused a plague. He has a sprawling corporate facility where they bring in the best of foods, so he has an ample selection of food.

11206 words for Dark Sun. Realistically I don't write on Saturdays, but I did a little writing this morning, tweaking some things and added some things, even though it's a WIP. I figured I could fit it in and not break the rule of taking a day off from writing. I like to take a break because while I'm motivated to write the story, I do need to just let the ideas percolate and so on. Also I did come up with a good set of missions at the outset. I'm not going to write six months of combat though.

#WordWeavers Day 31 - Would you ever cosplay one of your characters? Which one?

That's a good question. I'm not 20 years old so I can't cosplay Baromir. Maybe MSG Magnusson, but then again I don't have a look for him to really use to make an effective costume though.

I can't say that 2023 was a bad year for me. I didn't have much happening life-wise, and things generally (other than moving, I guess) were okay. Moving was a pain in the ass, but I'm at a new place I like, and therefore I am enjoying life as it goes. Still have the same responsibilities to handle, and I'm doing that tomorrow, or starting tomorrow, because why not take a few days off?

#WordWeavers Day 28 - What do your protagonists teach you?

To have more varied intellects and responses to things that normally I wouldn't deal with. I have some experience (15 years) of military life, so that helps when writing my characters. But with other characters it teaches me to have varied points of view for them, and how to implement those views in a story.

#WordWeavers Day 8 - What is the most important change your MC undergoes during the story?

I think for Days of Baromir it's Baromir admitting that he can't read. He can speak fine, but reading he never did that much, mainly because he worked on the farm a lot, and never read much. The supporting characters help him learn to read and give him opportunities to read some more.
