Halfway through #LegendsandLattes by #TravisBaldree and I am pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy it! Haven't even gotten to the romance yet and the story alone has completely pulled me in and the characters are so endearing 🥰. I think I'm slowly starting to expand on the genres I enjoy. I'm excited to have found another author I think I'll easily return to again and again.

I am always behind 😆 When did we start using the category name "romantasy?" I never heard of it until yesterday & have seen it twice more since then.
What happened to "fantasy romance" (romance with fantasy) and "romantic fantasy" (fantasy with romance)??? Are we still using these? Which one of these did this replace?

I just completed an old classic Fantasy book which I had somehow missed all these years.
I'm talking about Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. The first book in the Farseer/Elderlings series. I found it a highly enjoyable story, although it does feel as though it is a relic of the 1980s. I'm not sure I'll continue with the series, but I'm glad I got to see Fitz grow from child to young man and meet the other characters in the story, especially Nosy, Burrich, and Chade.
