Parenting post: Elimination Communication is amazing. It's the real deal.

When my wife first suggested it— ‘potty training from day 1’ — I literally laughed in her face. We'd have to put baby on a tiny potty. Look for signs and offer it at predictable times so she can do her business.

But it worked… right away.

Baby is now 8 months and crawls to her potty to go (!). Haven’t had a dirty diaper in months. Can’t imagine life without it.

The hardest trick I know.

Me throwing a yo-yo sideways and getting it to do a trick called the UFO. This trick unwinds the string and I pull the yo-yo up just as it’s completely coming off of the unraveling string, I then catch the yo-yo, which is spinning on its side and unattached from the string, onto my pointer finger. It spins on my finger for a few seconds.

  1. I set up my new iPhone. I insert my EU mandated replaceable compostable battery. I choose my default browser, phone dialer, Lock Screen, health app, NFC payment app, and Siri voice (the EU mandated an open market for Siri voices in the amended 2026 Digital Markets Act). I go to the App Store, dismiss the cookie warning, select my App Store search engine and download the Coca-Cola App Catalogue to get the Disney+ app to load up on MickeyCoins to purchase the latest Star Wars game.

The original fossils were found in 1909 by a the German Tendaguru Expedition. The leader of the expedition, Werner Janensch, identified them as a stegosaur in July 1910.
In 1915, Edwin Hennig officially described Kentrosaurus.

But the name sounded too similar to Centrosaurus. Under the homonymy rule thats not allowed. In 1916, Henning suggested the name Kentrurosaurus. Franz Nopcsa suggested Doryphorosaurus

It was later decided not to rename it

Dabrye has announced a new album titled Super-Cassette. It's his first "intentionally instrumental" album since 2005's Instrmntl and I'm so hyped for it! https://dabrye.bandcamp.com/album/super-cassette I'm a huge fan of 's first two albums, but wasn't really feeling it when he started working with rappers and vocalists. I'm excited to get another real instrumental album from him.

A fresh combo with the PLTPS .

A first person perspective video of me yo-yoing with a PLTPS yo-yo and a large pink counterweight. I do a series of unnamed tricks with a responsive style, so the tricks involve string stalls and regens. The music playing is "Spiderbite" by Flaming Lips.

Stumbled onto this old concert footage of the performing at in 2009. So good.

Pretty crazy watching this knowing now that it was their last live performance as a trio—as less than a month later MCA would be diagnosed with cancer.

I was fortunate to see them at a few key concerts over the years, most notably the 1996 Tibetan Freedom Concert in Golden Gate Park. And as you can see in the Bonnaroo footage... they really did put on a fun show. RIP
