This comic is one of my favorite things in the world. (Hark! A Vagrant by Kate Beaton.)

My day was made when I recently rediscovered it. Anyone who loves history or literature can check it out and make their day too!

This sci-fi short story (Lena, by qntm) as haunted me ever since I first read it years ago. Recently rediscovered it!

Making my way through this full anthology.

A fascinating critical review of a Mary Shelley sci-fi novel that I've never heard of: The Last Man.

I love the idea that she could see the (more ecological, more egalitarian) future, even as her own life was circumscribed by sexism.

Anyone ever think about The Wizard Heir? Cinda Williams Chima. Randomly so good.

The first and third volumes were fine, but this second entry had high key politics and good writing.

Abusive magic school? Sullen teen protagonist doing his best? It was fun.

It took me 23 days to read the book on the left, just a few hours to read the book on the right. Both were thoughtful and informative, especially as the 1200 year old city on the left may one day end up in an edition of the book on the right, which features many drowned sites.

What common typos do y'all have? I skip words like crazy. Double them up too, sometimes.
