My temperature blanket project for my youngest is now complete. Low temp and high for each day of June 2021 which is his birth month and year. Colour range was just one I chose randomly so it was nice and colourful ☀️ Kylo is content to have her snoozes on it which is the perfect seal of approval for any crochet project 🩷

@Bee YouTube videos were the only way I could learn to crochet! Still can't read patterns but I can crochet. It's such a satisfying hobby once you get the hang of it, so I hope it clicks for you 🤞🏻

@Bee this is what I do. Scarves and blankets. Nothing else. But for me there's something quite self-soothing about making cosy things like blankets. I pick colours that make me smile & I don't worry too much about the odd wonky side here and there 😅 I also found some videos utterly baffling, so just kept starting again until I found ones that made sense to my brain. Also if you're on whispers Facebook, there's a few nice groups for crochet & people are really helpful & nice 🙂

I think at least four of us crochet on here, that's enough for a group right?!maybe we should just start our own 🙂 I'm definitely not an expert but if you ever want to know which videos I've found helpful, or just want some crochet thoughts I'm always here for that x

@Bee @fuzzypeach butting in again, I don't know if it's your thing, or if it's really practical but I had a huge ugly piece of furniture but so practical & so I bought loads of cool stickers & decoupage paper & I've just been sticking & pasting to my heart's content to make it look cool (to em, probably looks shit to others 😆). Now all I want to do is more sticking & glueing. I think to some it would seem a bit childish, but it's made my brain so happy (also an anxiety person).

@Bee @fuzzypeach I think for me, again realize it might not work for everyone, stickers and sticking things down is really satisfying, I think I get some sort of endorphin buzz from covering things in stickers. Doesn't need to be anything big either. I also cover a flower pot and a diary in stickers too and it gave me the same sense of joy 🙂

Once again you're positive vibes stretched across the miles ⭐ not quite a full pass, but maybe the equivalent of getting 9/10, which is an acceptable pass & most of all it was informative & tells us how to get 10/10 next time. It's the first one we've had for this business & first one Mr F has had as the big boss, so it could have been much worse, especially given the state of the place when we took over 😬 so it's a yay for today ⭐♥️⭐

@RomanticIsa it's amazing how quick they're working! He's a different kid already 😳 I can't really take many/any useful antibiotics, so I don't really know how that turnaround from poorly to much better feels but looking at him bounce back I can imagine it feels pretty good.

Two months of crocheting a row a day in relation to the 'feels like' temperature of my weather app. Due to the stitch I've chosen to use I'm getting a different colour variation on each side. One features odd days of the month & the other even. An estimate on length today shows it's like to be around the 10ft mark when I'm done!!

My biggest and neatest project to date! This is a gift for my cousin. We lost my uncle (her dad) at the end of 2022, this is a temperature blanket featuring the low & high temperature for each day in January 1954 (his birth year) blues & white chosen because he (and my cousin too) are big Everton FC supporters.

Another completed project! My historical temperature scarf for my year of birth. This measures 11ft 6inches long, which now means I know exactly how long my 2024 temperature blanket will be because I'm doing that in the same stitch as the scarf.
