While Elon’s then-partner Grimes was recording her part in the game as cyborg popstar Lizzy Wizzy, the erratic tech billionaire turned up with an antique firearm to “insist” on being included in the game. “The studio guys were like sweating,” Grimes is quoted as saying. Musk adds “I told them that I was armed but not...
I’ve been toying with giving Age of Sigmar another shot and having been reading through a load of stuff it really feels like AoS is ever so slowly going back to the old WHFB rules, just with round bases and still having silly individual named rules instead of general rule names like Killing Blow etc....
Hey all, the subject is basically the question. Are any of you aware of a mil-sim (or somewhat of a milsim) survival game? I know Arma 3 has some mods, but I just find A3 clunky and hard to manage content for. I am also aware of the chernobyl game, whose name escapes me... but it appears to have trouble running on modern...
As long as we are talking about old games that are still the gold standard, how is it possible no one has recreated the giant-god-monster and city management game Black and White yet?! That game was fantastic, and its premise so solid. It seems ripe for replication in more contemporary engines.
I've only reread a couple. Ghost Story by Peter Straub and I am re reading the Malazan series so I can finish the last three books without being too lost.
Generally I enjoy the experience of reading a new story and rereading I end up a bit bored.
I stopped drinking on the 18th of March 2023. Because of where I live and how my culture socialises, this was a huge step. But to be honest, in hindsight it was just something I'd been putting off for a long time. The hangovers did just become a nightmare to deal with, plus I didn't feel like I was doing well with my personal...
Yes. 7 years. I stopped because I was a horrendous binge drinker. The first year was the most challenging but after about 18 months I was able to have a non alcoholic beer once in a while to take the edge off. I would say I get the urge maybe once or twice a year now but it's more of a 'Oooh, that would be nice' but I know it's a slippery slope back if I do have one.
Overall, much happier and I wish I'd stopped sooner but I can't change the past.
I personally enjoy taking long walks. It doesn't matter if it's in the woods, on a bike trail, or just through town. There's something nice about just meandering and being alone with your thoughts while still being immersed in the outside world.
I take a timed, twenty minute nap. Under the sheets. Undressed. And just let me mind wander wherever it wants. I've found that generally I don't often fall asleep but am just on the cusp when the alarm goes off but I feel more rested from that than when I wake in the morning after a 'full nights sleep'.
somewhat belated because we've been really busy again but! we have a docs page up and running, we have the email situation hopefully sorted out, and stuff is flowing again generally. things are going pretty good right now on the backend for Beehaw, i'd say, and hopefully that continues as the week progresses....
Mine is a rollercoaster of emotions that will hopefully settle soon. And very muggy weather that is leading to some very poor sleep.
However on the positive side if things I am enjoying my first ever rewatch since the original airing of The X-Files and reading The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwyne and it's really bloody good.
It's one of the reasons I avoided Trek forums for years. Thankfully the Trek sub (now here) is a much calmer place and it turns out the more militant Trekkies are a very vocal minority.
Hadn’t realized how reliant upon Reddit I’d become for news and interesting things until after it turned to shit and I quit it. I’ve rediscovered RSS for ex., using reader apps to scan sources directly and read without all the noise—that actually came from someone’s recommendation here in the comments. I’ve found...
I wouldn't necessarily say I am enjoying the internet more but I am using it less, especially the doom scrolling but to be fair I've hardly used much since April and have been watching Star Trek and reading since April instead.
I've noticed an improvement in my mental health overall and I really like how Beehaw operates Vs Reddit with the more polite discussions. Definitely has a positive impact.
Our first computer was an IBM, and the first pc game that i remember is called Kindergarten, i wish i remembered more about it though, i would love to watch on youtube and get a nostalgia boost haha
I can’t say I blame them for feeling betrayed but Islam like the majority of the Christianity leans to the conservative side socially when it comes to sexuality and gender identity. Personally I'll be staying here and not going back to Reddit. I'd been winding down my use of Reddit recently anyway so the blackout was just the little push I needed to delete my account.
Myers adds, “Honestly, I like to imagine that Klingons are a diverse species, and that means there are many different looks the Klingons have. It’s that simple.”

Ex-Facebook Users, What Do You Use Now?
I joined Facebook years ago not long after it took off from its college roots. I also quit it years ago when my feed became full of junk....

Why does no one make a Black and White-style game?
As long as we are talking about old games that are still the gold standard, how is it possible no one has recreated the giant-god-monster and city management game Black and White yet?! That game was fantastic, and its premise so solid. It seems ripe for replication in more contemporary engines.

Do you reread books or are you done with them once you’ve read them?...
What's your Sci-Fi unpopular opinion?
It's a slightly click-baity title, but as we're still generating more content for our magazines, this one included, why not?...
Anyone have comfort movies or tv shows?
For me it's Wolf children. I watch it when I'm not feeling the best physically or mentally. What's your comfort watch?
