@glennf My guess is that they lowballed her, waited until a few days before launch, and then offered a truckload of money they wrongly presumed she would not refuse. Then when she did, said "Fuck it, go ahead anyway.”

I'd say this might affect Apple's willingness to feature Altman (or anyone else from OpenAI) in a keynote, but it wouldn't affect their willingness to partner with them for cloud AI computing.

Can we get rid of receipts now? Why do they still exist in a world of phone contactless payments? It’s just a way to get you to touch even more PFAS shit. I’m even starting to get receipts in shipped packages now. It’s so annoying when it’s thrown on your food. I don’t want any more receipts. Enough. Let’s stop printing this shit once and for all.

I have been using Orion browser (thanks to @snazzyq) and Kagi search (thanks to @gruber) and have been loving them both. Amazing to be able to use Firefox and Chrome extensions within a fast safari browser. Super amazing to get real search results, and Kagi has a bunch of nice bonus features.

It wasn’t immediately apparent to me that they are run by the same company, but it quickly made sense.

@Gte @hotdogsladies All joking aside. Star Wars is more iconic, for something that happened to come out in 1977. But nothing about Star Wars screams "1977” to me. The music in particularly is timeless. Whereas that AC/DC performance just screams "1977” to me.
