I slowed down when the announcement was made about third party apps. I quit entirely when RIF turned off. Now I participate here, started my own community, contribute to others as much as I can, and finally figured out how to host my own instance. It’s been fun seeing it grow slowly.
Some weird foods this year. I’m not into the gator stuff, they taste gross and I have no idea what the appeal is. Or the spicy iced drinks and ice cream. Beer Cheese Wisconsin Lava Cake sounds yummers though. The various bubble waffles also look good.

I use a mix of RSS feeds and the Feeder Android app to accumulate articles. I'm still tweaking my list of feeds, currently using Ars Technica, MIT news (ai), slashdot, bbc, npr, and some niche ones
I really enjoyed The Hyperion Cantos, and the first few Dune books I read a long time ago (may reread these now). Can anyone recommend some other books (or series) along these lines? Huge stories on an epic scale, space battles, cool future tech, etc.

I start with 1s, look in the row blocks to see if I can fill any, then the column blocks. Then move on the 2s, 3s... If a block or row or column is mostly filled in I see if I can get any of the rest to close it out.

I found it easy to join a server, subscribe to communities and post. I've also created a community that I'm passionate about and I'm trying to grow it.
I tried creating a server but failed big time, I'm a novice at that kind of stuff and didn't have the experience to know what I was doing wrong.
This site is currently struggling to handle the amount of new users. I have already upgraded the server, but it will go down regardless if half of Reddit tries to join....
