@peteriskrisjanis @halva nothing wrong with using Macs, I do so myself. I’ve also seen designers obsess over the shading of a button that wouldn’t even be visible for most people that used Lenovo’s with bad screens back then.

@danirabbit @tbernard right. also shadows shouldn’t stack. when you put out a table in the sun, then put another table on top, the shadow underneath doesn’t get twice as dark…

this looks really awful specially in macOS. the shadow should only be applied once on the group of visible windows.

@tbernard saturation. I always used this trick when creating full colour icons. Bumping saturation on shadows/shading instead of just using black makes them look better in my opinion. :)

Some GameCube games with large amounts of data span two discs, such as Resident Evil 4, Baten Kaitos, and Tales of Symphonia. 💿💿
Some multi-platform games that fit on single discs for PlayStation 2 and Xbox had certain features removed in order to fit on GameCube Game Discs. ✂️
Full-motion video scenes and audio clips have higher compression or lower quality to fit on a single disc. 🎞️

@repeatro I remember GC games having much shorter load times than other consoles. were the smaller discs a factor here?

I think Wario Land 2 uses more than four shades of gray. The DMG only supported four grayscales, but I think I can count more in this shot. Probably they use some temporal dithering, e.g. mixing two different shades in alternating frames to get a third shade. Does anyone have additional information?

That was my main equipment for catching all 151 first gen Pokemon on original hardware. :pika:

Using Pokemon Stadium, two controllers and two Transfer Paks on N64 I could play the Game Boy games and exchange Pokemon between them simultaneously on one setup and on the big screen.

have family who got fined multiple thousands of pounds for forgetting to register. months of stress later the debt was suddenly forgiven. I guess this is why…

I agree with low emission zones. but the ones in London are so horribly badly implemented, unforgiving, and disproportionate it’s a sick joke.

I hope London/TfL get a mass lawsuit for emotional damages.
