Will start a little series here about me browsing this Club Nintendo issue from July 1995 (Nintendo Power in the US). 📖
I explicitly bought this one recently because I have so fond childhood memories. It must have been one of the few I owned and therefore read endless times. I still remember so much of the content and now I'm excited to refresh these memories.
The cover shows Asterix & Obelix, a PAL exclusive game series. 🐗
I remember being overwhelmed by the colorful graphics. I only owned a Game Boy at this time and imagined how much fun it would be to play such a graphically impressing game. Unfortunately my friends didn't own a SNES neither, so it remained an imagination for a long time.
Although you never could play most of the games presented in such magazines even reading the articles and imagine playing it was fun.
Third entry is about the PAL exclusive cover story game Asterix & Obelix for SNES.
I owned the quite similar Game Boy version at the time and still remember the hard Rugby level shown on these pages. 🏉
I barely made it above this level and remember some kind of snow level afterwards where I was stuck again due to lacking knowledge of the sprint capabilities. 🏔️

Streets of Rage 2 was coded by the same programming team that did the first title of the series. To make it possible to add more features and additional memory cache, the programmers improved the Mega Drive cartridge specifications. 👨💻

...specific parameters like the life count or the number of coins. The Xploder already has cheat codes for a lot of Game Boy games. The number of codes depends on the game.
For example Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle only has one cheat code for unlimited lifes because the game has no more values to manipulate. 🐰
Games like Super Mario Land have more codes due to the fact that values like the ♥ life, 🟡 coin and ⏳ time count can be manipulated.

Later all of the available consoles instead included Sonic the Hedgehog, which replaced Altered Beast in part over concerns the latter's themes of zombies and magic were not popular.

...by the limitations of the 8-bit NES, Nintendo chose to remake them for the 16-bit SNES. 🕹️

...of Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country was released, which resulted in its computer-generated graphics becoming the norm for contemporary SNES games. 🤩
It was too late for the graphic designers to incorporate such a style into Yoshi's Island; instead, they pushed the hand-drawn style further as a way to "fight back". 🖍️

Had a tidy up of the games room. My favourite room of the house. Since last time I have 4 more controllers mounted on the wall, another Quest 2 - my son and I like Walkabout Minigolf - and a few more hand helds… ROG Ally and some Anbernic devices.
Modern Vintage Gamer just dropped a video about the Pro Fighter X Turbo, a SNES disc copier. ↔️
Such devices were used to copy SNES cartridges to floppy discs and create the ROMs nowadays used to play games via emulators.
