Seeing that Slack is gonna slurp up all their customer’s data to train ChatGepetto systems and making you opt out via email is :chef’s kiss:

IRC never betrayed me like that

herndlm,

@grmpyprogrammer it can't take much longer now until e.g. self-hosted xmpp gets popular again. That would be great actually.

Recently heard this track on #NTS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENcJCeEp8Fc

It's "Sunset" from the 1978 issued #PsychadelicRock record Flap from the same-named #Japanese band. Produced in the USA. Somehow I can't get enough of it.

The whole record is also on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmF0DmGBmxs

I think there was a composer plugin or smth that makes sure typical dev dependencies never end up in the require section of the lockfile, right? Which one is it?

Background: A colleague added a composer dev dependency by mistake to the require section in an internal plugin and nobody noticed. When requiring that plugin the dev dependency ended up in the lockfile and vendor of the main app and again nobody noticed. And I'd like to catch that.

I think somebody once wrote a using for or so. Was it you @asgrim and does this still exist?

If @phpstan is breaking your builds I suggest to look into either commiting the lock file or pinning 's version. And using or of course :)

And yes, commiting the lock file of a lib is not a crime.

I was recently forced to create redundant docs and since I hate Confluence, I started looking for a tool that allows me to just write Markdown in versioned files and generate the docs in Confluence.

https://github.com/Roave/DocbookTool is doing the job just fine for the simple pages I have. using it for a while already. Thx @roaveteam @asgrim @ocramius :)

Some impressions from today’s visit to Hallstatt in Upper Austria. The scenery was as grand as ever, but the place is plagued by overtourism to an extent that is almost as bad as in Kyoto. 🤒

@norbertwoehnl nice. In lockdown times I remember seeing a documentation about Hallstatt. The people seem to love and hate tourists at the same time. Complained that there were too many before Corona and then not enough. Guess now they have enough again 😊
Also: I regularly forget that you're Austrian 😅

If you read a review for a book, usually people point out what they liked and what they disliked.

How come when you read a review for code, usually, it’s only the dislikes or if “lucky” a general comment about lack of dislikes? 🤔

@herndlm@phpc.social avatar

Great! Something changed in symfony/phpunit-bridge between 6.4.7 and 6.4.x-dev 15607a3 that now results in

At the local super market:
I passed by here many times, then I started to wonder why this fridge with sweets is not located near to the other food area. These here need to look tasty to pet owners, and then be bought for their pets :)

Seeing these, @hananoaki commented along the lines of "well, overaging population, many people having pets instead of children..".

herndlm,
@herndlm@phpc.social avatar

@globalc @benoit @hananoaki wow. I remember my in-laws were getting おせち料理 for their dog 😅 and AFAIK it was seasoned for dogs, so basically no salt and such. I would assume such cakes are also not sweet then, but I surely don't know..
