Child B is potty training and had an accident today, needing new underpants, but we'd forgotten to stock up their stash in the nursery. So they got a loaner pair from the nursery that are day of the week themed with 'Friday' written on them, and very clearly styled for a gender other than Child B's. I'm shocked; I don't know how they can confuse a child like that - it's a TUESDAY! They're going to think tomorrow is the weekend now. #parenting

At work I have to do a lot of development in an on browser based IDE, which means no nice #emacs movement shortcuts like I'm used to, and moving around the code is painfully slow. The IDE does support #vi movements though, which I've been trying as a 'better than nothing' solution, and yeah, it's still hard. I don't think I'll ever get used to the logic of: if "h" is left/back, then "j" is down, and not up. Arghhh.

Booking travel online is one of those experiences that makes me think the Internet was a bad a idea. We should just vanish into forest and communicate purely in mystic runes. Between the airline and the bank, just how awful and hard can you make booking a flight and confirming the payment? Literally nothing worked, and between every bit of text or button I had to scroll across a Sahara desert's worth of white space - when it could all have fitted on one page #rant

Am I right in thinking that, in the year 2024, the only file system that #Windows #MacOS #Linux #FreeBSD and #OpenBSD can all read and write on, without installing additional software is ExFAT? E.g. if I want to format a HDD to share large files with less technical relatives, that's my best choice?
