I think the Chaource may be becoming one of my favourite cheeses, although I'm not sure it'll ever overtake Baron Bigod (although it's a damn sight cheaper) 🧀

NatWest cash machine at King’s Cross station concourse has a skimmer on it, the machine has a phone number to ‘report suspicious activity’. So I call it.

Automated service which fails to work out what I’m on about, then won’t let me past without my NatWest bank account number, which I don’t have because I’m not a NatWest customer.

Station security disinterested.

Anyway, it’s on the rightmost one at 4pm on Sun 16 Jul if anyone gives a flying fuck.

Inspired by @dialupworld I just dug out what our tPoP at Mailbox Internet looked like on the day I got there in 1998.

Portmaster III top left i think which was our leased line uplink (64k to Netkonect), and then that's a Portmaster IIe in the middle, connected to a load of Hayes Optima 33.6K modems which we flashed up to V90 at some point.

The PM3 was retired when we got the AS5300s up at Telehouse.

Couple of Sparc 20s and some Slackware 3 Linux servers at the back running it all...

Got a letter about the ULEZ expansion cos we have a subscription for when we go do shows in London. I understand why it's being put in place and generally agree with the principle.

However I can't afford another car large enough which is ULEZ-free so I guess the expansion means we'll have to bump ticket prices or just not do within the M25 at all, which is a bit sad.

Come across if you fancy! There's proper beer too, not this chemical shite you get in supposed queer bars who slap a few crinkled rainbow flags up to milk the pink pound (she said cynically 😉).

Maybe even the only aftershow run by queer people for queer people.

Talking to a few OGAE UK folk who were in the arena for SF2 last night - lots of booing for you-know-who which didn't make it to the final audio it seems, some standing audience turning their backs, lots of "ooh I need the loo", and a couple of audience being escorted out by security.

We're off to the afternoon GF dress rehearsal so it'll be interesting to see how it goes. Hopefully it will be peaceful.

(Protests outside the Arena were peaceful and respectful, anyway.)
