After about 6 months, I finished up a guitar I built for my 16yr old kid. We used maple (which is heavy, but sturdy). It's a Telecaster body style, and he picked out the electronics. We're both pretty happy with how it turned out!
So Iโm at a French bistro in #Seattle and four mimes just walked in and theyโre having dinner and gesticulating wildly and this is the best thing ever.
@karlnelson all good suggestions. Bandsaw with outfeed support would be my choice. Very curious about your project though...what would require 17' long thin strips? Do share when you can.
Workbench holes successfully drilled. The holdfast does indeed hold things fast. (Itโs a tight fit, so Iโll likely need to fine tune it.) #Woodworking
A point on the road for the #Sounders. Iโll take it. Nashville never looked really dangerous. The next couple of home games will tell the tale of the season.
@bedirthan yeah. I saw one of their more complete (minus a goal) recent performances yesterday. Effective pressure on defense. Decent movement/ideas on offense. And they were missing some of the regulars (Rusnak, Morris, Raul), and a few folks had off nights (Chu). So, encouraging for a playoff run.
(Also: some people are just never happy no matter what happens. ๐คทโโ๏ธ)
@karlnelson What I have done is for my #4, I have three blades that are sharpened at different angles. lower angle helps with endgrain. but amount of clean up you have to do, belt sander is going to take you there faster & then you can take care of high spots with plane.
I don't really care about the #MLS All-star game, other than thinking that last year's pairing with the Liga MX All-stars was more fun. But, I'm 100% here for the skills challenge that happened yesterday. Watching players do silly soccer things... yes, please.
(I might care more about the game if more #Sounders were involved, but mostly I just want to make sure none of the guys get hurt playing an exhibition game.)
This is getting a little nervy for the #Sounders. Gotta make sure this doesnโt get out of hand. And the Sounded have looked decent in the attack, except for, and stop me if youโve heard this, the actual scoring of goals.
