I love the form factor of my little iPhone 12 Mini …but I am so ready for a phone that doesn’t constantly overheat and run out of batteries like 7 times a day
@misc Ugh. unsolicited counsel would be to wipe the OS and reinstall everything clean...presuming you've got all your essential stuff backed up. But yeah, just generally, battery life troubleshooting is the worst.
@misc as a data point - my 12 pro max was a refurb which I got in December 2022 and the battery lasts for a good day and a half without a charge, fwiw.
But, i'm a homebody - I use it all the time, usually on wifi which seems to help with battery life. I try to remember to wipe it annually to prolong...
#Boston - Weekend events thread: Memorial Day 2024 Edition. There's a ton going on around town, but what's on your radar, #NewEngland?
Friday's going to be hot again in the mid 80s, but Saturday and Sunday should be cooler/cloudier in the mid-upper 70s. Memorial Day Monday might have rainy afternoon cookouts, in the upper 60s.
(Promote this weekend's events with #BostonWeekend to play along 1/?)
VIP Platinum passes are like 3 grand, which makes the 400$ for a basic 3 day pass seem like a bargain - right? Else its 200$ for a day pass unless you can finagle otherwise/secondary market.
Too rich for my blood for these bands, but gods bless you if this is your thing. Sat/Sun weather looks ideal so 🤞 #BostonMusic#Boston

Slut Trek - ASSimilation: A Live Action Love Letter to #StarTrek
Saturday and Sunday, doors 7pm, show @ 8, #SomervilleMA
Sliding scale admission, GA $25+, Sunday front row tickets still avail ($35+)
Sox are playing Milwaukee home at Fenway, Friday at 7, Saturday at 4, and Sunday at 130, so plan your travels downtown with that in mind. Memorial day they're down at Baltimore for an early afternoon game.

Dear reader, if you've found this or past #Boston weekend threads useful, holler - especially if you end up at one of these events.
I curate these weekly threads, exclusively here for the fediverse. I'd like this subset of the fedi to grow beyond ~12 bostonians shouting about how much we love bikes.
Boosts, sharing local-ish events you're interested in, and tagging posts with #BostonWeekend help to that end, and likes just make me feel seen (which keeps me motivated to spend time on this entirely non-commercial project).
