Awoke with a headache and stiff neck after a fitful night. Advil and Arnika should help. How I'd love to have an uninterrupted nights rest. I'd gladly settle for more than 2 hours at a clip. On the plus side, was greeted by a thunderstorm when I awoke. Just a gentle rain with occasional rumbles; nothing extreme (they're due this afternoon). Celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. A nice afternoon walk, decent meal out at our favorite restauant, and champagne while relighting our wedding candle and looking through the albums. Wow, so many who shared the day are gone. Hoping for many more happy years together
Excited to have finished reading Crime and Punishment by #Dostoyevsky . Was always intimidated by the sheer length but stuck with it and found it quite satisfying. E-Book version let me increase the font and read on my phone in the middle of the night. So much more worthwhile than mindless scrolling. I felt achy and like I was coming down with something earlier but perked in the late afternoon and now feeling much better.
Called adult son to wish him a happy birthday. Thankful that he’s getting settled and for the fine young man he’s become.
Got dressed decently and had dinner out at a nice restaurant. We don’t get out in the evenings much lately , I miss it. We looked great (if I. must say so myself) and had a nice time.

1 Safely returned home from a trip to visit family overseas. This might be the last time I’ll see my cousin and siblings as we’re all getting older, grateful to have the means and opportunity to spend time with them. Even ignored a few slights; empowering to just let some things go.
2 Wife and dog are happy to have me home (the feeling is mutual)
3 Spent a lazy, rainy #Saturday afternoon doing not much of anything. Being productive can wait till next week.

Yesterday, we had a quiet afternoon lunch in #Telluride Today, was a fun drive along US550 between #Ouray and #Silverton ; the #MillionDollarHighway. Wow, what majestic scenery with impressive mountains. Couldn’t gawk too much as no shoulders and unforgiving drop-offs. Silverton was touristy but we had a pleasant stroll up and down the main drag and got funnel cake and coffee. Sadly, our #Colorado#Vacation is drawing to a close. Now planning a scenic route back to #Denver and our flight home.
