Calling all RSS ninjas!

I am handwriting my RSS feed at https://lisleg.com/blog

Things are working well. At least in my usual reader.

If I plop the feed into https://rssviewer.app/ or RSS mobile on iOS there are problems:

Videos and images are not scaling correctly and are stretching well outside the screen.

Is my RSS sub par or should we just cancel these readers?

I have been putting my whole post within <![CDATA[ ]]>
and have been writing it as HTML.

Is this a good approach?

Looking for places to play in the UK!

I am trying to book a UK tour for me as a solo electronic performer. Genre is experimental electronica / ambient.

I have contacts in London, Brighton and Aldershot (but could always use more).

Looking for contacts / organizers, festivals, concert series and venues.

Should be for people who want to listen and not just drink / party.

Want to share the stage with some local acts so tips on that would also help!

Tips for news sites / blogs / networks of interesting music+++

Ok so I am been thinking about an idea. It is not well thought out yet. It is currently boiling and brewing "up there".

But I am considering initiating something to help connect and curate

• Non mainstream musicians
• Possibly other artforms as well
• People who might be interested in this

I don't know what this will look like, but I really feel the need for it.

So I am wondering: Do you know anything like this already?

I think being within the first 8 artist on a new music plattform has to be well within the description of "early adopter", hehe!

Excited to see how this plattform will turn out. It is still in its testing and development phase, so there is not so many things there yet, but after the whole Bandcamp-gate it sure looks nice with someone saying "We're not for sale and never will be."

Is it on purpose that instead of giving users good navigation and filtering tools, services like Youtube, Netflix and Spotify instead wants to give you a set menu so to speak?

I KNOW there are so much amazing music, art and even videos that would just be called "content" out there, but it takes so much effort to sort thru the shallow crap.

Happy new year Fediverse! In 2023 this space really became one of my favorite places on the internet!

So many interesting people and posts, and no overlord trying to push the boring stuff on me. I enjoy it a lot!

In the new year I hope to be able to contribute interesting things myself! Planning for multiple releases that I hope will be a good addition for someone.

Is there a free software that is good for designing zines?

I know there is the scissers and Xerox method but I was more thinking to do a computer design and having it printed in a shop.

So something where I could add all the elements, sort them in the correct layout for printing and export pdf and correct colors and all that stuff.

I know there are zinemakers in on Fedi.

Any tips?
