I've come to discover that typefaces aren't as integral to my personal mission as I originally imagined it to be. I will always be a typeface dragon, and I'm still making typefaces, but I think that'll remain a side thing.
Are there particular physical characteristics that separate kobolds from dragons? I realize that it can be very subjective but I want to see what everyone thinks.
I’m always amazed at the incredible quality of the work that so many artists, including many on the Fediverse, can pull off. It’s so weird to now be on the opposite side, actually making this stuff rather than merely consuming it.
The very fact that you created a character yourself inherently gives you a very different relationship compared to those who see your character. The people who see your work only have seen it for maybe about 5 seconds, with no other context, before they determine “Wow, that looks fantastic!” But you, however, have seen that same art piece for hours, potentially conflicting with your own imagination, and have seen all of its previous iterations that led up to that final result. Of course it won’t feel the same to you.
This relationship puts me in a position where I personally don’t quite feel like the quality of my work lives up to everyone else’s standards on the Fediverse. But I’m doing the best that I can, and I feel incredibly grateful to see my work get as much engagement as it does. Thank you.
