A financial planner I haven’t talked to in 20 years emailed to thank me for something I’d written on my blog which was super nice but they opened their email with “I just read your substack and it was wonderful” and now I’m a little mad to hear the nazi-loving email service is a generic phrase synonymous with “personal essays” in business people’s minds already.

@Codeberg Thanks for favoriting my toot that mentioned you😀 I emailed you a while ago because your registration system didn't like the @fastmail address I used to try to register. It would be great if your system accepted Fastmail email addresses, which are probably not spam because it is not free/gratis to use Fastmail. Thanks!

@timrichards @vitaminsludge What I mean by "solve the problem" is I'm no longer bothered by them. I don't mind if they keep following me - I leave that decision up to them (the "sarcastic dismissive" replyer). someone means they can't follow you as discussed in https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/moderating/#block
