We apologize for the ongoing disruption. On Sunday, the difficult decision was made to separate the U-M network from the internet to help mitigate technical issues. It was not made lightly, particularly given the timing with the first day of classes. Classes are meeting. (1/2)

umich is blocking port 22 from outside the perimeter, but it works over the VPN, which is one way to impose 2FA on external SSH clients.

still radio silence from ITS but i am half expecting a system-wide pass phrase reset any day now.
