@deadsuperhero I think I know what you mean, but isn't that against the idea of ActivityPub? Shouldn't there be a general default instead of special "implementations" for specific platforms??

@cogdog hmm, this is tricky! If you delete it, Mastodon seems to block this site for a while and Author changes are not a thing on Mastodon, so this might also not work. So long story short: I am not aware of an easy way to do that 😔

@linos @castopod that's why I ask! since some versions, the plugin already federates audio, but we only support blocks for now. So I am interested in bridging also the podcast plugins.

@linos @castopod the platform does not seem to not federate the audio properly or at least not in a way, mastodon expects them btw.

@pfefferle @Gargron tl;dr Mastodon basically DDOSed my WordPress instances. ~30k in exactly 30 minutes, then back to baseline ~0.

Between 18:28-18:58, it looks like every Mastodon instance decided to request the posts which were federated WP+AP months ago.

Any idea why?

We released version 2.3.0 of the plugin for .

Some new features:

  • Support for alt-attributes
  • Prioritize attachments based on the post format (article => all, audio => audio, video => video, ...)
  • Improve JS widgets
  • A better default content handling based on the Object Type
  • You can now add/remove the capability to use ActivityPub for each User

@cybeardjm @atomicpoet no, it is on the users admin page (wp-admin/users.php). Select the users you enable or disable for ActivityPub, select the action you want in the dropdown and press submit.
