Free idea/joke/prank/amusement for someone to create:

A website that generates “invite codes”. When someone uses a code they received, they simply see a page congratulating them on being a part of the secret community, and it then gives them codes to share. That’s all it does, other than see how many people will join.

Bonus points for saving a username for each person, and building a big tree graph of the relationships built by sharing the codes.

At the airport. Our flight had already been delayed by 3 hours.

10 minutes til boarding.

Announcer lady said “hello gate B10. Due to…”

And then stopped talking. For what felt like 5 minutes but was probably like 30 seconds. We’re all staring at each other wondering if our flight is delayed again.

Then she says “due to a full flight we’re asking people to gate check your carryons”

The whole gate let out a sigh of relief.

The Soup filesystem concept in Newton OS was and is still a great idea.

macOS & iOS have sort of come up with similar ideas for Photos, Contacts, etc. but not in a generic way like Soup did.

An update to the “United lost my wife’s luggage saga”

In the last episode, we left off with our traveler filing a claim with United. it has been three weeks now.

Approximately a week ago, my wife decided to take action since We’ve not heard a peep from United. You see, there was an AirTag in the bag, and it hasn’t moved this whole time. It’s in the bottom of what appears to be a mixed use building.
