Apologies for double posting this image but:

Does anyone know any businesses in the Ventura County or San Fernando Valley areas which offer custom wood CRC work? Where I can just send them a file and get it machined?

Everywhere seems like they offer metal only even though I'd expect wood to be easier to work with. And I want to make them ~2ft which is a bit too big for the LA library maker space I think.

I revoke my last sentiment, Rebel Moon is really really bad.

It looks cool but it's really, viscerally un-good. The villains are just pure evil with no motive or nuance or really even attempts at self-justification. No thought whatsoever beyond "make them look fascist and do bad stuff". Dialogue feels like a bad young adult novel. Not good! Not good!

Still going to watch it all because I'm compelled to watch all scifi in existence

Let's talk Anger. Anger is a normal human emotion. Women are often taught to suppress it. Men are often taught it's the only emotion they are allowed to express. Anger that is fleeting, nothing wrong with that, but what about the anger that stays? Anger that doesn't fade means something, it's a propellant. It pushes us to change. If we don't change, and we stay in it or we refuse to acknowledge it, it starts to destroy us from the inside, our health, our contentment.

What has anger meant in your life? How has it affected you in the past? How does it affect you now?

@RickiTarr Living in the "land of the free" with one of the highest per capita incarceration rates, hearing that "slavery was abolished" when slaves are still used to fight wild fires in California and elsewhere, hearing that we have "religious freedom" while committing a felony by consuming a fungus likely used by my Irish ancestors (and which I should have full access to even if that's not the case), viewing nature as the closest thing to a real God and watching that God get killed every day.

You can see we take the theme very seriously in these parts. I just added the pair o Jacks to the luminescent yard installation after getting a few dry days free to work on them. In the wide shot it looks like maybe the skeletons are dancing towards the small pumpkin, perhaps in assistance and solidarity, or perhaps not

No later than October 12th, we will know whether California will be decriminalizing the possession, cultivation, and sharing (NOT sales) of non-synthetic DMT, psilocybin, and mescaline. This specifically does not include peyote.
