Is anyone else using Wordpress to host and share music? I'm asking specifically about Wordpress.com hosted sites and not self-hosted.

I can see it is pretty simple to upload individual files and have those playable on pages. But, I'm looking at how I can implement a player of sorts to have a collection of tracks that play together.

This would be for if I released a full record and want folks to be able to listen to it from start to finish without having to play each track individually.

I can see there are plugins for this kind of functionality, but the plan for Wordpress.com that allows plugins is a little more than I want to spend on hosting.

Should I just use the self-hosted version of Wordpress? Or maybe just make a Faircamp site at this point?

@attksthdrknss Self hosted you have so much more capabilities than .com . But I self host on A2 Hosting. And you can fit quite a few wordpress sites on one install.

Ok so looks like it's not a The Bad Batch Comic series, but Star Wars Hyperspace Stories which is coming out in November and it's about The Bad Batch. Looks like it's a Dark Horse comic (when did they get the rights to Star Wars again??)

Saw that Mission Impossible no. 8 is delayed until May 2025 :( and also interestingly may not bear the "Dead Reckoning - Part II" name. It was originally slated for June 2024.

@mattmaison Yeah i didn't hate it but i thought Fallout was really great and was looking for no 7 to come close. I guess this delay is happening cause of the strikes etc

I’m still mad that they made a Star Wars movie while Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford were still alive and they didn’t have a scene together. I know. In the scheme of things…but still.

I’m 30 minutes into Empire Strikes Back, and I’ve already heard two music cues that Williams recycled into Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The second one is right before they fly into the asteroid field. It’s the trill that happens at 30 seconds into this clip of the Raiders marketplace scene.

I'm pondering going to the theatre tomorrow to see , which I've heard is in the Avatar category of a nothing story but technically beautiful which makes it a good theatre experience.

But Sunday public transit sucks and it will probably be raining so I'm not eager to do the walking/waiting portions.

@Ryan I don't know if I'd say its a nothing story. Both Avatar and The Creator both are inspired by and borrow from various stories that have come before. But The Creator has atleast a lot lot more originality. I loved The Creator, saw it in Dolby.
