Got out and around for tonight with a friend of mine for the first field test of the gear - got a lot of waves from the ladies so clearly the girls love the bad boys. Wore it for about 2 hours, so a few observations:

  • Getting in or out of a car without assistance is impossible

  • Armor pinches quite a bit

  • Upper back strain started about 90 minutes in

  • Headache from visegrip helmet foam started about 105 minutes in

Still lots of fun!

I'm part way through the series and I have to say, it was a really weird narrative choice to have show up and ask the star whales for help. Way too convenient that Earth whales and star whales speak the same language.

I guess this is just the we live in now.
