hi from my 2008 Dell laptop which has Windows 7 (I thought it had a Linux install tbh) I'll probably dual boot Linux and Windows, I also need to find another stick of RAM (it uses DDR3 which would normally be nice, but currently DDR2 would actually be more convenient rn), I'll see if I can actually get Minecraft 1.17+ to make sure I am not going crazy about it actually being able to run it. Also it still uses a hard drive because it doesn't use the standard SATA, it uses micro SATA or mini SATA or whatever it is called (it is like the normal SATA port but even smaller)
37 degrees C here today. I was running the air conditioning and the built-in dehumidifier filled up an 8.5 litre bucket with water plucked from the air. There's something poetic about running air conditioning on solar power though.
I have no idea how they manage it but Valve's QR code reader on their Android Steam app is miles ahead of anything that reads QR codes. You vaguely move your phone in the direction of the code you're trying to scan and before you're finished moving, it's done.

Agreed. My mate Jose tried out my Steam Deck while visiting and used the reader to sign in, amazed at how quickly and accurately it worked.
I've said it before about the slew of powerful and expensive handheld gaming devices that have come on the market since the #SteamDeck, but I'll say it again....people who buy handheld devices don't really want an expensive and powerful device that compromises portability. They want a light, ergonomic, affordable device that gives satisfactory performance for the games they play. #Nintendo have known this for decades which is why they've had the market cornered. Other companies don't seem to get it
@paulthenerd Agreed, while I don't personally support or agree with Nintendo's litigious practices. I'm hoping here that AYANEO is actually working with Valve on getting SteamOS on this, and not just throwing crappy HoloISO on it without any support and calling it a "SteamOS Edition". Otherwise, I guess I'll recommend to friends to install #chimeraOS on here haha
