Buying clothes is such a stressful activity though - for lots of people probably.

Part joy in the new, part struggle to find stuff that fits, part frustration that the only things that fit are ugly or worse, pocketless.

It's always an emotional seesaw.

I need a better way to deal with all the things I want to read, like learning to ignore 90% of it. Just tried to clear my feeds, and saved about 10 articles to 'read later' as they all looked good, but then I'm probably never going to get the chance to read them later, and should stop pretending to myself. It'd hopefully make me feel less guilty about not reading the cool stuff.

I did wonder how VR was considered something worth trying, again.

No one likes wearing big clunky headsets that cut you off from your surroundings.

Internet use really rocketed as soon as people could carry it around in their pockets, and not have to be in front of a screen to log on.

I think some of the Black Mirror style tech was very prescient - VR or AR will only become ubiquitous once it's tiny and embeddable into our bodies or (less creepily) into more normal looking glasses.

@andycarolan what bothers me most with 3D is that it tricks my brain enough to make me try and focus on other things on screen - but I can't because it's was obviously recorded with just the one thing in focus... So yeah headaches here too.

@rykthekreator @maarten I'm always amazed by what was already possible in mechanical, analogue tech. Took digital stuff a good while to catch up, to be honest!

International TV broadcasting was pretty amazing too, that's why the Eurovision song contest was originally set up, to show off and push forward that tech.

I also wear a 30mm automatic mechanical watch and love that it's just all cogs and springs :)

And I don't need to wind my watch, it's automatic - it has a rotor inside which winds itself from my wrist movements!
