Mostly tired - mostly breaking things

Pretending to be a Sysadmin, GNU/Linux user since 2001, father of 3 current GNU+Linux users, lives in Sweden, Fascinated by strange hardware.

I am not on vacation, but I am at the end of a long time delay. I am
located somewhere on Earth, but as far as responding to toots is concerned,
I appear to be at the edge of the solar system.

What I managed to do during lunch-break

Figured out how the VLAN shit works on MikroTik switches toghether with a Unifi Router.

A cable from the top floor to the basement (outside thou :mortysad: )

Installed and mounted an AccessPoint

Tested the network by playing two games of War Thunder

Had some food

selea,

Also

Did laundry and dishes.

Whatever I ate earlier today, I need more of that

The house is from the 60's, so basically no vents at all.

selea,

@finlaydag33k

The problem was that I was not patient enough, but taking it slower and taking one interface at the time without modifying the interface the management machine is connected to - did actually do the trick :P

selea,

I remember what I ate
It was a shitton of salami

selea,

@gustav

I did not know

selea,

@MTP

I work from home, so I consider that a break - not doing $dayjob related stuff

selea,

@MTP

I do enjoy doing it, my kids will thank me when they come home :)
I do not have the time to do it during the evenings during the winter, the darkness make me way to tired

⚠️ Docker v25 Networking Issues (Self-hosted only)

Please be aware that a recent update, Docker version 25, has introduced networking issues in Bitwarden as well as other Docker-based software such as HomeAssistant.

For more information and troubleshooting, please see the full post in the Bitwarden Community https://community.bitwarden.com/t/docker-v25-networking-issues-self-hosted-only/62633

@snukey denna stötte jag på i helgen för Home Assistant, lyckligtvis så kunde man nergradera enkelt så man hade sparat allt i /var/cache :p

I remember a couple of years ago, just when AWS launched their datacenters in Sweden.

I kept an eye on different threat-maps, such as shadowserver, talos etc and compared the data for Sweden before the AWS launch, and after.
And you could actually spot the date just from those threat maps.

I wish I saved the screenshots

SPF question - if I have something like "include:spf1.domain.tld include:spf2.domain.tld -all" Do spf1 and 2 need to have -all at the end of each of them too? I wouldn't think so but I have it now and am kinda nervous deleting it.

selea,

@niqdanger

There is no need to :)

Want to setup your UPS easily? Use Windows. It's a simple GUI app that does exactly what it's supposed to and is super easy to setup. Using Linux? You have to use NUT, which is a PAIN to setup and use. Just a fact y'all.
