    Does anyone have a recommendation for a video player that doesn't give a fuck about files being incomplete? I have one video spread over 3 broken files, I just want it to continue playing so I can switch to one of the other broken files to watch that bit there.

    Both Gnome Videos and VLC care a bit too much, with both eventually just hanging.

    Even though I am generally satisfied with my ISP, sometimes I wonder. About an hour ago I lost my connection, checked and discovered I no longer receive an IP-adress. So I turn to the support form. But I cannot submit it without giving them my IP-adress.

    TIL: An automation trigger can be "Time of your phone's next alarm" and now I can automatically turn on two WLED and one proprietary RGB lighting automatically when I have a wake up alarm set on my phone and my phone is at home.

    Would you give your phone’s password to your boss and let them examine your phone for hours without you in the room?

    When you install the “MDM” (mobile device management) that your employer likely requires to access work email and other things, YOU ARE DOING EXACTLY THAT and hoping that your employer is trustworthy.

    I realize not everyone gets a choice in this, but if you have one, take it. I personally have two phones: a work one and a personal one.

    If a company wants to install MDM on your phone, they should just give you a work-phone.

    I dont even think that is legal for a company to force themselves to install shit on your personal phone
