Accurate. I may be taking a break from social media, so if I disappear for a while, that's why. (I'm fine, just need a hiatus. 🤘🏼)

It is 34° right now. I am cold but appreciating that it's actually winter temperatures for a change. 🥶

Heh - we have different ideas of "winter temperatures" and it's also about 34F here.

-10C with snow for skiing please.

And I could never live there in the summer :-)

[Wasn't trying to diminish your winter feels, just noting the regional differences]

It's a very interesting question. The forces at work are significantly different. (I haven't successfully water skiid, so I'm making a lot of guesses here). Water skiing, you're being pulled forwards, and need to not faceplant. Skiing/snowboarding, you're using the lateral motion to trim off the speed that gravity is giving you. But you can (theoretically) stand up on the snow but not water.

1/2?

I'd enjoy a 15min vid on competent amateur* water skiiers attempting downhill skiing/snowboarding for the first time and vice versa, to hear about how they felt and what surprised them about the differences.

  • Not pros. Pro athletes understand their bodies and limits so well that they start any new activity a leg or two up on anyone else.

Even though it's been a banner few years for conspiracy movements worldwide, these fringe movements have failed to seize power like they'd hoped.

So they're moving to the country.

Ow. I get that this is a very snarky piece in a lot of places, but is that really a phrase you felt good about writing?

Saw a TV ad for Timmy’s “non-alcoholic Baileys” drinks… and I’m sitting here wondering WHY

sloot,

@McRocker @beaveinflow @chad
Now you can have non-alcoholic Bailey's in your decaf coffee!

My is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, spectacular far & wide.

HAUNTING LESSONS will haunt you. Patrick Barb has created a tragic little tale that packs a powerful punch of pathos & pain within its spare but effective/affecting prose. Caitlin Marceau's illustrations are the perfect compliment to this poignant, unique, memorable story. (Shortwave)

I was trying to figure out why you called it Azure airspace, and wondered what it had to do with the Microsoft cloud platform.

Then I figured it out 😀

You're allowed to use words however you see fit. Just cuz a corporation has chosen the same word for their product, doesn't mean a thing.

I wish I were smart enough to pepper that sentence with commercial product names.

Well, is the perfect time to show off my Billy Martin aka Poppy Z Brite collection.
If you like truly stunning horror, you owe it to yourself to check his out. They defined an era & he's a true (and ) Inspiration & Icon. 🖤
No one will ever describe decadence, deviltries, depravity, or dining in quite the same descriptive, darkly beautiful way.

I've read Lost Souls (like every good goth), and possibly Drawing Blood. Other than Equisite Corpse, do you have any specific faves?
