WE MADE IT TO A YEAR!!!

Every Friday for the last 52 weeks I have added a new dancer to the canvas. I now claim my crown as Queen of Pointless Projects & hope that you all have a splendid weekend, if you possibly can 👑

Hand drawn animation loop. There are 52 simple figures each doing their own dance move. The main body of the screen is teal, with a cloud framing the top and across the bottom. 49 dancers are on the top cloud, quite small, doing their thing. The new dancer for this week is larger, and centre stage on the cloud at the bottom, with a dancer either side for company.

@eclectech I've started to see Myfanwy and Friend everywhere I go now. The other day I passed a road sign warning of riders on horses and thought "That rider looks like Friend".

You can probably guess what my brain substituted in place of the horse! 😮

IT'S FRIDAY! YAY!

Week 48 if the dancers and yeah, nearly May 4th so... you know...

As always have a good weekend, if you possibly can 😀

Hand drawn animation loop. There are 48 simple figures each doing their own dance move. The main body of the screen is a star field, with a rainbow framing the top. 47 dancers are on the lines of the rainbow, doing their thing. The new dancer for this week is centre stage on the red peak of a rainbow at the bottom. They hold a light saber that they are swinging back and forth. There is a Star Wars style crawl of text behind the main dancer, but I didn't know what to write, so it's part of Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling Gotta make you understand Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

@eclectech Myfanwy is definitely not to be messed with! Not the sweet, innocent chicken everyone thought she was.

What have you started? My mind is already seeing alternative film posters! Beak (Jaws) is just begging for an update!

And as Myfanwy is descended from dinosaurs, surely the Jurassic Park poster with the T-Rex silhouette has to make the list for consideration?

@ellestad @tea I haven't opened this packet yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Out of interest, what sort of leaf to water ratio do you use with this one?

Other green teas I've tried so far that came with brewing suggestions have ranged from 3.5g - 6g per 100ml, so I'm still learning how to judge the right ratio for new green teas.

Went for a walk in the woods. Saw a red squirrel bounding around high up in the trees and chased it around for a while trying to get a good angle.

Will sort through properly later as there might be a couple of tolerable shots, but this one amused me.

Not quite what I was hoping for, but it captures a moment.

This morning I received a call to have a job interview this evening, dev position, in a big enterprise ("big" according to my humble standards; ~200 people in the IT department I've been told, a noticeable change from being just 2 developers in my former job). Stakes are high and probabilities are low, but having another chance when everything seems to be going south is nice. :)

I really hate waiting for parcels from Royal Mail. They text me over the weekend to say my parcel was due today between 8:50 - 12:50.

It is now nearly 6pm and no sign of the parcel. Their tracking just says it is "In transit" on its way to me.

I had given up, but then saw a Royal Mail van delivering parcels on the opposite side of the green just after 5pm. I need to go out now, and still no idea what is going on.

It's now 8.30 so this parcel isn't coming today. Their tracking is incredibly ambiguous - it's still "In transit" but they suggest delivery times. Also why are there no updates since leaving the International Logistics Centre on Saturday?

It has happily made its way all the way from China without any problems, until they gave it to Royal Mail.

Guess tomorrow will involve more waiting and wondering

Update on my parcel - that's the one Royal Mail told me they were delivering on Monday.

They have now decided it does exist once more, and after three and a half days it has now completed the ~2.5 hour journey from near Heathrow to one of the big Midlands mail centres.

Of course it has sat there all day & not been transferred to my local mail distribution place. At this rate it will have taken as long to get from China to the UK as Royal Mail are taking to transport it the final few miles.

Hurrah, my parcel has arrived (despite the Royal Mail tracking system having no idea that it ever left the Midlands Mail centre).

Even better news, it contains my latest batch of from - mainly raw Puerh, but a couple of the latest green harvest, some oolongs, and a ripe and white hidden in there too. @tea

Well, that actually turned out to be a nice evening. Quite a few of my year group turned up, and they are a great bunch. Some of them look exactly the same as I remember.

I have used up an entire month's quota of socialising though, so I might take a while to recover.
