Wow, people really don't like iTerm2 adding an optional AI integration which requires you to enter your OpenAI key to use, calling it "no longer fit for purpose", etc.

Someone pointed out that this feature is optional and not only has to be enabled, but it requires you to enter a key to use. That user was, apparently, reported on gitlab and is now blocked.

@danluu the problem is that when used in enterprise contexts, even the presence of this kind of feature will disqualify it... that's where the "no longer fit for purpose" language is coming from. Where this was previously approved by some CISOs, this won't fly.

If you use Bartender and havenโ€™t received the update with the new code signing certificate, DISABLE UPDATES NOW.

If you updated to anything beyond version 5.0.52, TURN OFF PRIVACY PERMISSIONS TO THE APP and delete it.

BMBX pays tribute to traditional linear radio both with its name and focus on music.

Streaming music services feel isolated and cold to me, so sometimes hearing a DJ interview a guest or share a backstage story about a band is just refreshing. And when they play a great song, being able to quickly save it for later is pretty cool.

Station list screenshot with accompany copy: BMBX has an extensive library of searchable stations from a global catalog, offering users a vast array of music from around the world. Those who want even more customization can add custom URLs for stations, ensuring a truly personalized listening experience. Stations can be favorited for easy access.
Song history view with accompanying copy: Never lose track of your favorite songs with playback history in BMBX. Songs are automatically identified based on station metadata and recorded in the History tab. Links to Apple Music are available in the app for each song, making it easy to listen to a song again on-demand.

Does anyone know how other radio streaming apps like Broadcasts and Triode that support discovery features get around App Store Guideline 5.2.3?

My first submission of BMBX was rejected for the following reason:

"Your app contains content or features that may violate the rights of one or more third parties. Specifically, your app provides potentially unauthorized access to third-party audio or video streaming, catalogs, and discovery services.โ€

App Review's next steps were:

"To resolve this issue, please attach documentary evidence [...] that you have all necessary rights or permissions to the third-party audio or video streaming, catalogs, and discovery services in your app."

Obviously getting permission from hundreds of thousands of publicly-available streams is untenable. Recent threads on Reddit don't offer guidance. I know the mentioned apps have been recently approved, though.
