@eclectech It was amazing tat. I chose it as a reward for getting some sort of swimming badge. I think I decided it wasn’t cool in my teens. Teen me was an idiot.
Guess what, the visit from the social worker was FINE 🙄 We agreed she doesn’t need to see me again, the issue is not depression anymore but anxiety, confidence, feeling differently about myself and what I want to do with my life. Seeing a uni counsellor tomorrow for that stuff
Finished "Translation State" by Ann Leckie, a nominee for Best Science Fiction for Goodreads in 2023.
I came into it without having any knowledge of the Imperial Radch trilogy and it works as a standalone book. It's a bit of a space opera, a bit of a fairly predictable & angsty love story, and a bit of political intrigue. It's kind of a bit of everything and I think that's why I liked it but didn't love it. 4/5 stars. #Bookstodon
This is a bit of a first world problem I know, but let me whinge. I used the last of my preferred type of dental floss this morning, and I when I went to order some more a little while ago, I found out that it has changed and is quite different. So now I have to look for new dental floss, and I'm not looking forward to this, as there's so many types of floss that make my teeth feel weird in different ways.
@sheepnik@alexisbushnell the hygienist told me they’re gentler on the gums than floss. I have an irrational fear of floss snapping and getting stuck between my teeth, so I find them much less stressful to use!
