Apologies for the running commentary on tedious mansplainer last night, it was a long train journey. I was actually in London to see a John Singer Sargent exhibition at Tate Britain, and it was spectacularly lovely, especially where they also had the dresses in the portraits on display beside the paintings.

Ha, tedious mansplainer had to stop talking briefly so he could eat a custard tart, and his victim seized her opportunity. He's now coaching his poor daughter on what to say at her university interview. I hope dhe gets a place, or she'll never hear the last of it.

He's trapped a less wily passenger, and is boring her with details of When He Was At Oxford.
