Anyway, the idea that the "emasculation of black men" threatens black folk wellbeing (bc that's what they always bring up!) is inherently misogynistic (not that y'all care 🙃) and directly traceable to white supremacist ideology.

Locking yourself into western notions of gender also locks you into western notions of race. The failure critique our own worldviews and recognize that? THAT is what threatens our well-being.

Catching up on one of my fave podcasts, and dude basically said "it's 2023 and we still don't have teleportation. Maybe we would have it if we weren't obsessed with policing women's clothes and bodies" and I have been thinking about this for almost 24 straight hours.

What could humans do if we weren't bogged down by the troubling obsession with mistreating people because of race, gender, sexuality, ability, nation, religion, etc?
