i got my ham license! im KJ5DCL!

i can't do anything with it because i'm in Taiwan still but.. been playing with AllStar to hit a repeater in my hometown, thats been fun.

been doing a lot of cycling, lost some weight, getting healthier.. its been good

cats are happy, girlfriend is usually happy too :)

if you understand a little bit of electronic theory (really not much), studying for a few weeks is all it takes.

actually it came about as a result of my toying around with LoRa-equipped microcontroller boards... still need to finish my solar powered ESP32 automatic gardening thing for the patio..

i think if you hustled, you could get to a night market before they close up.

theres a metro rail that runs from the airport into taipei.

i'm assuming you're coming into taoyuan. thats about 40-ish minutes from taipei by MRT. i think if you stayed at a place near a night market you could have some good walking and eating time.
