@paul it took three attempted to get them to admit my monitor was defective. On the third time sending it back they said they’d just mail me a check for the amount the monitor cost. Never got the money :/

@michael I wonder if you could make a trade off and use prefers high contrast to get that score back up to 100?

I don't understand colour contrast calculations:

I got 2 buttons with red background. One with black text, the other with white.

colour contrast ratio with the black on red button is supposedly 4.81, while white on red is only 4.35 (which crucially is below the 4.5 threshold)

Yet, to my eye the white on red is much more legible than black on white.

What am I missing?

@michael that’s why sometimes you gotta throw the automated tools out and just use instinct.

To me the one with black also looks lower contrast and harder to read.

So what exactly are these senators trying to do with banning social media for kids under 13? COPPA already heavily limits what social media operators can collect. I feels this is the start of sites collecting even more personal information just to “verify” you’re old enough.
