Great to see the continuing evolution of @MonaApp. The ability to set custom notification sounds not just on an account by account basis, but also for each notification type, is very impressive. And the sounds come from members of the community too. I regularly monitor four mastodon accounts and there are sufficient sounds for everything I want to be notified about to have a unique one.

I'm going to install this myself right now as I love singing bowls. Even has presets thanks to someone on the NI forum.

Hey @Piciok perhaps you may have an idea. Is there a trick to avoid the mistranslation of "ch" by VoiceOver when typing in Polish using Braille input on iOS? VO keeps on typing something different whenever it encounters "ch" at the end of the word. Thx for any ideas!

Yesterday at I met a Ukrainian man who lost his remaining sight one and a half months ago. One can talk about blind pride, about all the things a blind person can do, but, being blind from birth myself, I have deep empathy towards people like him. I know there are many deaf and deaf-blind people and they live their full life like we do, but whenever I imagine losing my hearing, I shiver in fear.

@JonathanMosen @menelion Agree with the choice arqument. I don't think Andrey meant any harm to anyone. There is a bit of linguistic complexity with the word though. I was a bit uncertain about how I understood it when I came to the US. In Ukrainianpride is usually associated with something that you've achieved as a result of hard work or abilities. Not so in English, though this does remind me to revisit the dictionary, just to be sure...

@menelion This is why I am personally not a huge fan of Blind Pride. I get (and agree with) a lot of related sentiments, but the word "pride" just doesn't sit right with me. People become blind for various reasons and the circumstances may not always allow for the "bhing proud" state of mind. Sorry for so many words, just trying to be PC! :) ),

On Monday, I’m giving a to some design all about , and how they might start to incorporate it in their , so I put this little together about how I make use of it as a person. I have an hour to talk, so this is just what I’ll open with. the rest of the time will be live chat and Q&A.
In doing something like this with absolutely no visual aspect, I want them to start thinking about, and understanding the benefit of incorporating sound in new ways, how sound can help tell a story, and how together, visual plus audio can perhaps make something special.

@Onj Really cool. Thanks for sharing that! Would it be possible to perhaps add an example of a Live Photo with audio? Or did I miss something? I just wonder how many sighted people realize that the snippets of audio are recorded as part Live Photos.

Hello @MonaApp ! I noticed that in both Spring and Mona apps, the accessibility label for the Notification tab simply says "new notifications". Could it possibly say how many instead? Is there a good reason why this info is not provided currently? Just curious... Not a deal breaker...

But very cool tech, no doubt!
