Ya know, my whole feed right now is people joyously nerding out on their special interests, several tags of utter bloody silliness, and a whole lotta pride full of light and colour and strength, plus a few heartwarming deep and ernest conversations I get to watch unfold.
@vlrny The Monsterdon hashtag makes me grin every time I see it on my feed. I have no idea what people are watching generally, but the out of context live posting about it is fantastic.
I'm feeling all out of sorts this morning, so much change lately. Woke up to a gentle, steady rain, now drinking coffee, being present with the pitter patter.
Does anybody know why, sometime after 50, we start carrying things in our cleavage?
What happened?
Did we just get tired of carrying shit?
Also, why don't more things have pockets!?
@SteveJB interestingly, in this gender fluid era, when men wear dresses, they get dresses with pockets. Maybe that will be the seed of transformation to a world full of pockets.
@vlrny I could roll my chair over a bit, I guess... lol I'm actually moderately ambidexterous- we used to practise opposite hand writing when I was a kid, haven't done that for ages, but hairdressing also gets you using both hands with comb, scissors etc going at the same time,,, Just occurred to me to wonder if 'handedness' is why some of my co-workers only spin one drink at a time, when 2 handed is so much more efficient (we are always rushed..)
@cohanf ya know, I worked with a florist who got wrist injury from all the cutting work, she was pretty fubared without that hand.
I immediately thought, "alright, I am working to train both hands in these movements in case one gets out of commission."
And I think have just unconsciously followed that philosophy ever since.
The internet is already off here, and apparently the cell coverage isn't great, so I have been reading a lot of alt text while I wait for photos to load, and sometimes just boop yer delightful alt text descriptions without ever getting to see the images.
In case you thought alt text didn't matter. #altText#altTextMatters
@vlrny It was actually first created for just that reason and not as an accessibility aid. Its original purpose was for slow connections or what not that couldn't handle loading images and such.
