@bynkii Good luck! I've got an M1 iPad Air from 2022 that still seems perfectly fine. That landscape front-facing camera would be nice, but not enough to justify an upgrade.
@KingShawn@bynkii@aulia For those of us of a certain age who saw Tyson fight in his prime, it's hard to imagine him losing even as a 60 year old. Dude was terrifying.
@LinuxAndYarn@mattblaze That, plus the old Whitman’s chocolate plant a few miles south on the Boulevard. My mom worked for many years right across the street at the Penn-Jersey Auto Stores offices.
After some scares while sweeping the worst team in the NL, the #Phillies enjoy their second shutout in three games, against the team with the worst record in all of baseball this year. #BellRung
Apparently Apple Music for Mac has rabid fanbois (they are all men. All of them) and they are on Threads?! Of all the truly shitty products to stan, you want to defend Apple Music on the Mac?! I’ll defend Apple Music on iOS, even tho sync is a shit show, but on the desktop?! Man normies are weird.
@film_girl I mean, the UI isn't great, but I'm used to it. The one thing Music for Mac has that the other apps don't is smart playlists, which I use all the time. My main one is a smart playlist that roughly emulates how the old “iTunes DJ” playlist used to work.
“Just over half of Amazon Fresh stores are equipped with Just Walk Out. The technology allows customers to skip checkout altogether by scanning a QR code when they enter the store. Though it seemed completely automated, Just Walk Out relied on more than 1,000 people in India watching and labeling videos to ensure accurate checkouts. The cashiers were simply moved off-site, and they watched you as you shopped.”
Being in New York is weird. It reminds me how much I like being in New York while simultaneously reminding me how nice it is to mostly not be in New York. It’s kinda quantum that way.
(It also reminds me how much my husband forgets how badly being in New York affects him despite his claims that it doesn’t)
@wordshaper I’m also spending a lot of time in New York these days. I’m finding all that too, but mostly I’m finding that being in New York reminds me how much I like Philly. :)
@LinuxAndYarn@wordshaper Usually I go underground outside of Hoboken, and I don’t see daylight again until I’m at 168th and Broadway. Today I was up around 42nd St. in Midtown.
Washington Heights is a LOT quieter than Times Square.
@ezwal@mjgardner Allow me to introduce to you my good friends at S. Clyde Weaver Smoked Meats and Cheese. (Note: there are three photos of a stand at a farmers market, each with a different sign saying “Eat More Scrapple”)
