I heard this from @glennf and just tested on an Apple TV with tvOS 17.4 and a 10 minute screensaver interval and no YouTube screensaver kicked in before Aerial at the 10 min mark. The YouTube app version is 4.22.01 so it doesn’t appear to have recently updated. Something server side, maybe? Can anyone else report back if they’re still seeing the YouTube screeensaver (reference: https://joe-steel.com/2024-04-12-YouTubes-Screen-Stealer.html) https://twit.social/@glennf/112516465986519972

I still read a lot of "paper" books and take A LOT of notes which often slows me down. My process is to transcribe from the book, there has to be a better way.
Does anyone have any apps that are very streamlined for taking notes while reading on paper & automatic appending to a note?
Update: Actually, Highlighted is exactly that. Capture OCR highlights from books, export a TXT/Markdown/CSV…
a #UX question. If a site has both a signed out home page, and a signed in one (for example a feed or dashboard), what should you see if you're signed in and try to view the home page?
@joelanman Sure that the signed-in view is not app·mural·co or something? Sometimes the app is on a sub-domain and the marketing main domain doesn’t know/have the cookies.
@joelanman Sure. But github decided that their webapp runs under the top level domain, while murial didn’t. So the home page of the app is the subdomain, where you are logged-in. If a user understands this is another question, but it’s usually just about which subdomain to bookmark.
