And HR people can never be trusted to be on your side on any issue. Never, ever confide in an HR person, getting rid of you in some way is always the easiest solution to any problem.
Only when you first take outside council and then go to HR through them, do you have some sort of protection from getting swept under the rug.
Georgia’s second-largest school district says that it has removed two books from 20 school libraries, saying the books had “highly inappropriate, sexually explicit content.”...
Then go in and remove all Bibles, see how they like that.
But, yeah, they don't know what's in their bible as 99.99% of these fucks never read a book, let alone actually read the book they are ready to kill people over.
Is that the human condition or the prevalence of heavy metals in everything ...
Interesting how people chilled down worldwide the more we took those elements out of the food supply and are only more common in areas where the standards about heavy metals and other environmental pollutants are shit.
And for the western world, the US is an outright aberration, from general murder rates to how specifically the police are 10-20x more probable to murder people over absolutely nothing than anywhere else in the west.
Fuck, even Mexico has a lower deaths by police rate per capita than the US. And they are constantly at war with the cartels.
If that is all you've taken out of seeing human history and haven't seen a trend directly related to the use and intake of heavy metals and the sort, and in the modern age the difference between murder rates in the US, by population and police, compared to the rest of the western world, you haven't seen nearly enough of human history to understand anything.
Historically, the prevalence of just lead on its own boosted the aggression and sociopathic behavior of the population to ludicrous extents and these days, when that should be very little of a factor, the US still far outranks anyone else on the same developmental level by obscene levels.
It's a combination of the US being sucky about environmental pollution and having a serious societal problem with police being murderous asshats and people being OK with it.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has removed Army General Sergey Surovikin from his post of Air Force Commander, Russian media reported on Aug. 22. The general was also the deputy commander of the Russian invasion forces in Ukraine.
Unless Wagner publicly denounces or executes Prigozhin, Putin wouldn't dare touch him. He needs that meat for the grinder and those guys obviously have all the kompromat about Russian ordered Wagner actions around the world.
Remember, they aren't just active in Ukraine, they have deployments all over the world. And up until now, Russia used them for plausible deniability actions.
Wagner probably carried out quite a few of these "mysterious suicides" Putin opponents have been running into.
They are OK with any level of criminality, as long as it's done to people they don't like and by default, they consider everyone outside their usually very small ingroups as people they don't like.
It's only when it happens to them directly, they want retribution against whomever they think slighted them. They don't care about justice and finding out who actually slighting them, they are entirely reactionary and will rather have someone they think did the crime punished ASAP, with extreme prejudice, than actual justice where we figure out whomever did the crime and punish them appropriately.
It's not about party, it's about the criminality itself.
They like the criminality because they want to be able to do that too.
There have been several instances in my life where in a religious debate, specifically right wing Christians would dead seriously use the line "if there is no god, what is keeping you from murdering, raping and stealing?", something left wing Christians would never even consider thinking or saying.
For me and everyone who isn't a fucking narcissistic sociopath, the answer to that would be "I killed and raped everyone I want to kill, nobody, and stole what I want to steal, nothing.
To them, it's a laundry list of people and things and they are fully aware there is no god and what is holding them back from doing these things is society and "the libs".
Plus, at worst she'll have to pay like 200€ total in fines.
I don't expect her to be overly bothered getting a conviction and a fine for protesting. That's more of a feather in her hat than any sort of punishment.
It’s incredible how much the prices have fallen and that’s how it should be. Sure, I bought the 960 close to launch but still the difference is staggering....
You should note that the 960 is the one where Samsung got caught swapping in sub par bad performance parts into the same name. That's part why it got THAT cheap rather than it being a natural evolution.
That's part why them fucking about at Chernobyl was highly concerning.
Nature and soil in that area have absorbed much of the damaging materials, if Russia were to set fire to the forests there, all that would be released and spread across a wide area.
The one thing holding them back is that depending on the wind, this fallout can just as easily contaminate Russia as it can the rest of Europe.
Same with this instance, especially since the nuclear plant is also close to Russia. They may try to disable it to sabotage the electricity, but damaging it in a way that creates fallout will pose as much a risk to their own land as it does to Europe.
And then you realize that Russia doesn't give a shit about its own people or apparently any territory outside Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
And you realize those considerations are rational and Russia and its leadership can't be considered a rational actor at any point anymore.
They promise this each and every time there is a conflict between Reddit and the userbase.
For as long as the platform has existed.
Them neglecting to actually implement anything is the very reason so many external applications came to be.
And the very few times they actually did start releasing some accessibility or moderation tools, as soon as any conflict died down, they stopped developing those features and left them in a half finished state or removed them down the line.
Or they do ridiculous shit like trying to market their "new" reddit user interface and app as being accessible and having tools, while in reality, even fully able users can't work with that pile of shit.
There's also a whole lot of gaslighting responses that pretend everything is roses and sunshine and the mods are being bitches.
Two accounts I'm tracking appear to have been dormant for years (while existing for 10+ years) and only now joining into the fray to defend reddit and spaz.

They go all hamfisted in this situation, but when they should do something, they don't.
Besides that, I've been annoyed with the centralization of everything for decades. I grew up in a time BBS and newsgroups ruled the day, before the Internet.
Switching to the Internet then and finding that HALELUJAH, I can access whatever I want without having to rely on the BBS I pay for to pull in the content (same with usenet).
And then in the past 2 decades, motherfuckers started centralizing everything into one place again anyway.
And all this while I've been in IT for just as long and saw the possibility for federated systems being here, with the thing holding it back being the interest into interconnecting selfhosted systems was FAR FAR outweighed by everyone wanting to rule the internet.
So I'm glad we're now at a point most people are seeing what a mistake it was, the Facebooks, the Twitters, the Reddits.
Now lets move to federated systems where you can have some actual control on the content you consume and won't be forced to have a load of stuff shoved down your throat for every nibble of content you actually want to consume.
